| 1 | rinse | Absinthe |
| 3 | dashes | Bitters (Peychaud's) |
| ¾ | fl oz | Bénédictine |
| ¾ | fl oz | Vermouth, sweet (Carpano Antica Formula) |
| 1½ | fl oz | Whiskey, rye (Rittenhouse) |
Instructions
- Rinse a 6-ounce cocktail glass with a small amount of absinthe and set the glass aside to chill.
- Pour the bitters, Bénédictine, sweet vermouth, and rye whiskey into a mixing glass.
- Add ice to the mixing glass and stir for 42 seconds.
- Discard residual absinthe from the chilled cocktail glass and strain the drink into the glass.
