| 3 | dashes | Bitters (Angostura) |
| 1 | fl oz | Vermouth, sweet (Carpano Antica Formula) |
| 1 | fl oz | Brandy, Cognac (Courvoisier V.S.) |
| 1 | fl oz | Whiskey, rye (Rittenhouse) |
Instructions
- Chill a 6-ounce cocktail glass.
- Pour the bitters, sweet vermouth, cognac, and rye whiskey into a mixing glass.
- Add ice to the mixing glass and stir for 42 seconds.
- Strain the drink into the chilled cocktail glass.
